ANNA KOURNIKOVA IN BAR BRAWL
Tennis player Anna Kournikova may not be at Wimbledon but she still
got involved in a grand slam.
The Russian-born beauty, 28, was caught up in a cat-fight when a
woman lobbed a drink at her in a Las Vegas club.
Kournikova and friends were partying at Lavo after attending the
Hardbat Classic table tennis contest.
A source told the New York Post the unidentified woman: “Threw a
drink at Anna. She felt Anna was invading her space.”
The source said Kourinkova: “sprang into action,” screaming at the
woman and shoving her.
“It was a big fight,” said the witness.
The woman was thrown out and Kournikova was left with serious scratch
marks on her neck.
UGLY BETTY STAR HAS BABY
Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz and her musician husband Noah Lebenzon have had a baby girl.
Paloma Louise Lebenzon weighed in at 7lbs 10 oz in New York on Saturday.
“She is elated and completely glowing,” a spokesman for Ortiz, who plays Hilda Suarez on the hit show, told People magazine.
“She is surrounded by her friends and family and so happy to be a mom. She is just really enjoying the moment. The baby is absolutely beautiful.”
Ortiz, 38, and Lebenzon had not chosen a name in advance, but had a short-list of five.
BIG BROTHER COOLIO IN REHAB
Rap star Coolio has swapped the Celebrity Big Brother house for rehab.
The 45-year-old gangsta rapper escaped jail time after pleading guilty to a felony drug charge and less serious charges of battery and possession.
Security guards at Los Angeles International Airport found cocaine and a smoking device in his bags during a search in March, and he grabbed one of the screener's arms to try to stop the search.
Coolio, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr, changed his plea from not guilty and was ordered to complete an 18-month drug diversion, education and treatment programme.
EDDIE VAN HALEN WEDS
Guitar god Eddie Van Halen has married his girlfriend of three years, Janie Liszewski.
The 54-year-old rocker was given away by his son Wolfgang, 18, and his brother and bandmate, drummer Alex Van Halen, 57, an ordained minister, performed the ceremony.
Making it even more of a family event, Van Halen's former wife, actress Valerie Bertonelli, 49, was among the 100 guests.
The couple divorced in 2007 after 25 years.
The ceremony took place at his seven-acre estate in the Hollywood Hills above Studio City, with Liszewski walking down the aisle at seven on Saturday evening to Van Halen's When It's Love, performed by the Sonus Quarter, according to People magazine.
SEX CHEAP AS CHIPS
A hooker has been fined for offering a punter a blow job as cheap as chips – Frito-Lay chips.
Lahoma Sue Smith, 36, admitted offering the sex act in exchange for a box of crisps when the man told her he had no money.
She was arrested by vice officers staking out an area of Oklahoma City known for prostitution and drugs, after they saw her flashing the lights of her car at passing drivers.
After a white Chevy pickup stopped next to her for about 30 seconds then both cars drove off, they followed, watched them park and saw a man get out of the pickup and get into her gold Chevy Malibu.
FARRAH'S ANGELIC FUNERAL
Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett will have a fitting funeral at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
The private service at the downtown Los Angeles landmark will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday.
Fawcett died on Thursday at St John's Hospital in Santa Monica after a three-year battle with anal cancer, with her longtime love Ryan O'Neal and close friend Alana Stewart at her side.
Redmond O'Neal, her 24-year-old son with O'Neal, will be given a day pass from jail to attend the service.
RICKY GERVAIS' BOVINE BIRTHDAY GIFT
Comedian Ricky Gervais has been given an unusual birthday present by a group of fans – a bull.
The creator of The Office turned 48 on Thursday, and the animal rights group People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals and an Indian animal rescue group gave him the gift in honour of his support of animals.
“Peta Europe has teamed up with Animal Rahat to give him a very unusual present – a bullock,” the group said on its website.
“Well, they haven't exactly gift-wrapped and mailed him a bullock – that would just be wrong – but they have rescued and retired a hardworking bullock through Animal Rahat and named the lucky guy 'Ricky' in Gervais' honour.
PIERCE BROSNAN OWED THOUSANDS BY CO-STAR
Kind-hearted actor Pierce Brosnan will have to wait another day to recoup money he loaned his Die Another Day co-star Michael Madsen.
Veteran screen heavy Madsen, 50, filed for bankruptcy last month and court papers show one of his debts is $25,000 to the 57-year-old Navan-born former 007.
He owes another million dollars to Quentin Tarantino, 46, who directed him in Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, for which he created the memorable villain Mr Blonde, named the second greatest movie villain of all time by Maxim magazine.
Other creditors include luxury hotels, car dealers, jewellers, clothes shops, banks and hospitals, according to court papers obtained by E! News.
FARRAH FAWCETT CLOSE TO DEATH
Friends and family are said to be gathering at the bedside of dying actress Farrah Fawcett.
The Charlie's Angels star, 62, is in intensive care, and a Catholic priest has been called in to give her the last rites, according to the television station Extra.
Her longtime love, Ryan O'Neal – who earlier this week said he has proposed to her – close friend Alana Stewart and her hairdresser, Mela Murphy, are at her side.
Fawcett, who has been battling anal cancer for three years, has been in hospital for at least two weeks.
A spokesman for the actress said: “She continues to be treated for her condition.”

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez is suspending her Sweetface fashion line after six years, because of the recession.
The spring 2009 range, in stores now, will be the last for an indefinite period, according to People magazine.
Sweetface started as a spin-off to the 39-year-old Wedding Planner star's
line JLO By Lennifer Lopez. It started as urban streetwear but developed into a more upmarket contemporary look.
BILLY BOB THORNTON'S DAUGHTER CHARGED WITH MURDER
The estranged daughter of Oscar-winner Billy Bob Thornton has been charged with first degree murder over the death of a child she was baby-sitting.
Amanda Brumfield, 29, is also charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter and is being held without bail in Orange County, Florida.
When she was arrested earlier this month she told police her Dod-daughter, Olivia Garcia, hit her head in a fall in her Ocoee, Florida, home last October.
She did not call for help for more than two hours later, after being unable to revive the year-old baby.
The baby went into a coma and died the following day.
OSCAR WINNER CHARGED WITH RAPE
The Oscar-winning composer of the 1970s Debbie Boone hit You Light Up My Life has been charged with raping 11 women by luring them to his casting couch.
James Brooks, 71, who wrote and directed the 1977 film of the same name advertised on online classifieds site Craigslist and talent sites for would-be actresses.
When they arrived at his New York flat – usually from the West coast so they would be tired from travelling, he plied them with wine and told them they were auditioning for the role of a prostitute.
If they did not go along he put his Academy Award into their hands to give them an extra push, authorities charge.
BRITNEY TRESPASSER PLEADS NOT GUILTY
A woman accused of trespassing on Britney Spears' property pleaded not guilty to charges which carry a maximum of six months in jail.
Miranda Tozier-Robbins, 26, allegedly wore camouflage gear when she sneaked into the grounds of the singer's Calabasas mansion in April in the hopes of capturing her on video.
Tozier-Robbins, a former American Idol contestant, represented herself in Los Angeles Superior Court, and denied allegations that she refused to leave the property when asked by Spears' private security guards.
“I was detained at the residence, your honour, I wasn't asked to leave,” she told Judge Jay Ford III.
SARAH JESSICA PARKER'S TWINS ARRIVE
Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Parker have welcomed twin girls, born to a surrogate mother.
The Sex and the City star and her actor spouse spent Monday at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, where the surrogate gave birth a 3.58 pm.
A representative for the couple said they were “delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters.”
He said in a statement: “Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 lbs 11 oz and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 lbs,” a spokesman for the couple said in a statement. “Both Hodge and Elwell are family names of Parker's side.
“The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”
FARRAH IN HOSPITAL
Dying Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett has been treated in a Southern California hospital for at least two weeks.
The 62-year-old actress, who was diagnosed with anal cancer three years, ago is said not to be doing well.
Her spokesman, Arnold Robinson, told People magazine: “She is still being treated for her condition.”
A source added: “There was a moment last week when she was supposed to be released and was going home, but things changed.”
Reports said she could be released any day, but her longtime love, Ryan O'Neal, who has just announced they plan to marry, is trying to arrange for their jailed son, Redmond, to be released for what could be a final visit to his mother.
BRITNEY'S NEW FILM ROLE
Pop star Britney Spears has been offered her first film role since the disastrous Crossroads in 2002.
In The Yellow Star of Sophie and Eton she would play Sophie LaMont, a woman who creates a time machine and travels back to World War II, according to the National Ledger.
There she meets and falls in love with a Jewish man called Eton in a concentration camp.
They attempt to travel back to the present day to marry, but are killed by Nazis.
Shooting is due to begin in the autumn, after the 27-year-old Circus star finishes the second leg of her American tour.
CARLY SMITHSON HAS FALLEN ON HER FEET
Irish singer Carly Smithson has truly fallen on her feet.
The 25-year-old Dublin-born star has joined newly created American rock band The Fallen in her latest bid to become a major star in the United States.
She is starting to record again and making planning to head out on tour with the new band.
The Fallen is made up of former members of established American rock group Evanescence, whose debut album in 2003 was named Fallen, sold 15 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammys.
Ironically, Carly sang one of that group's biggest hits Bring Me to Life while competing in the American Idol TV talent show, on which she first found fame stateside.
MAYBE BRAD IS INTO JEN AFTER ALL - BUT NOT THAT BRAD
Jennifer Aniston has again sparked rumours that she's more than just friends with her He's Just Not That Into You co-star Bradley Cooper after the pair were spotted enjoying a late night intimate dinner together.
The couple, who have previously denied dating, were seen sharing pasta, steak and salad at Manhattan's Ristorante Il Cantinori near Washington Square Park on Thursday last week.
So Cooper may be into Jennifer after all, according to reports in the United States, which described the rendezvous as “romantic.”
But perhaps it wasn't that romantic as, according to witnesses, because there was no champagne in sight. Instead, the couple sipped Pellegrino water.
HOLLYWOOD COUPLE CALL IT QUITS
Hollywood couple Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek are calling it quits after more than 16 years of marriage.
Whitford's publicist, Melissa Kates, has confirmed the The West Wing actor and Malcolm in the Middle actress are divorcing.
Whitfield, 49, played is best known for playing Deputy White House Chief of Staff Josh Lyman in the Josiah Bartlet administration on The West Wing, while 53-year-old Kaczmarek played Malcolm's hard-nosed mother Lois on Malcolm in the Middle.
The couple filed divorce papers in Los Angeles on Friday.
"He hopes the media will respect their wish for privacy as they focus on their children," Kates said.
GISELE BUNDCHEN'S BUMPY START TO MARRIED LIFE
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her new husband appear to be enjoying a bumpy start to their married life.
She is sporting a baby bump while American football star Tom Brady's kayak hit a bump in the water which led to him having to be rescued from the drink, according to reports.
The Brazilian catwalk queen, who used to date Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio, is due early next year, sources tell American celebrity news magazines. She is reportedly “ecstatic.”
Speculation has grown since pictures showing the 28-year-old Victoria's Secret model in Brazil last week surfaced showing what seems to be a perceptible bump.
"Gisele will be an excellent mother," a source told the magazine. "She's always wanted kids."
