ARREST WARRANT FOR BOBBY BROWN
Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown is facing arrest after falling behind on his child support payments.
The rhythm and blues singer and deadbeat dad owes ex-girlfriend Kim Ward, 41, $45,000 for the care of Bobby Jr, 17, and daughter LaPrincia, 19.
Brown, 40, is supposed to pay her $5,000 a month but has not paid since last November.
Now Norfolk Probate and Family Court Judge Christina L Harms has issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear at a June 29 contempt of court hearing in Canton, Massachusetts.
“She's been keeping his case on a fairly tight rein,” Norfolk Register of Probate Patrick McDermott told the Boston Herald. “Judge Haims ordered that he appear in court on that day. When he failed to do so, an arrest warrant was issued.”
Grammy-winner Brown, who has a 16-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, with Houston, 46, welcomed his fifth child in June, a boy called Cassius.
The mother is his girlfriend and manager, Alicia Etheridge.
He also has a 22-year-old son, Landon, with Melika Williams.
Brown has a long history of failing to keep up with his child support and has been arrested several times.
In 2007 he spent four days behind bars before coming up with the cash and was later given a 90 day suspended sentence.
