BRITNEY TRESPASSER PLEADS NOT GUILTY
A woman accused of trespassing on Britney Spears' property pleaded not guilty to charges which carry a maximum of six months in jail.
Miranda Tozier-Robbins, 26, allegedly wore camouflage gear when she sneaked into the grounds of the singer's Calabasas mansion in April in the hopes of capturing her on video.
Tozier-Robbins, a former American Idol contestant, represented herself in Los Angeles Superior Court, and denied allegations that she refused to leave the property when asked by Spears' private security guards.
“I was detained at the residence, your honour, I wasn't asked to leave,” she told Judge Jay Ford III.
A pretrial hearing was set for July 17 but Ford said he expected her to reach a plea bargain before then. He did not rule on whether to return confiscated video footage she shot.
Last week Spears, 27, was granted a temporary restraining order against Tozier-Robbins, banning her from going within 100 yards of her or her home.
