COUNTRY SINGER QUIZZED OVER HIT-AND-RUN CRASH
Country music beauty LeAnn Rimes has been questioned by police over an alleged hit-and-run car crash.
Officers rushed to her home soon after the 26-year-old Grammy-winner allegedly fled the scene of the collision in the Brentwood area of West Los Angeles.
Officials said that Rimes was questioned about her possible involvement in a hit-and-run accident around 7:45 pm on Thursday.
She was quizzed by officers as part of an investigation into the Thursday evening incident, police Officer Norma Eisenman said. She was not arrested.
Rimes was driving a 2009 Audi Q5 when she allegedly rear-ended a 2006 BMW X5 that was stopped in the left turn lane. There were no injuries and minor damage to the cars, according to reports.
It is not known whether or not Rimes got out and spoke to the other driver.
Police are still investigating whether or not the case should be sent to the City Attorney for prosecution.
Rimes' spokeswoman, Susan Novak, said a police report had been filed and she was confident the star will be cleared.
Earlier in the day, Rimes was spotted at a golf course with her "special friend," actor Eddie Cibrian.
