DANIEL RADCLIFFE EXPANDS PROPERTY EMPIRE
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has bought a third multi-million dollar property in New York.
He paid $5.65 million for a five-storey townhouse in Greenwich Village.
It is one of three adjoining houses built in 1847 by a sea captain for his three daughters, and has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and six working fireplaces.
A 39-foot garden is landscaped with old trees, according to Sotheby's International Realty, with a balcony off a bedroom overlooking it.
The house is divided into two units at present, with a separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom flat on the garden level with access to the garden.
The main house has an open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen taking up a whole floor.
In November 2007 Radcliffe, 20, bought a fifth floor flat at 40 Mercer in SoHo for $4.3 million.
He put the two-bedroom, two-bathroom 1,843 square foot flat up for rent at $20,000 a month.
Four months later he shelled out $4.9 million for a flat overlooking the Hudson River in the West Village.
The 2,450 square foot apartment, in the same building where Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen own a place, has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The massive living room has a semi-circular glass wall overlooking the river and there is a formal dining room and an eat-in kitchen with granite counter tops.
The flat also has a wine cellar for 500 bottles, but Radcliffe, who was reported to be moving in for his Broadway run in Equus, is too young to drink legally in the United States.
Radcliffe is currently filming the final book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is being made in two parts.
