JESSICA SIMPSON DUMPED BY BOYFRIEND

Actress Jessica Simpson has been dumped by her American football star boyfriend the night before her birthday.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo dropped the bombshell on Thursday, ahead of her planned Barbie and Ken 29th birthday bash.
“She is heartbroken,” a source told People magazine. “She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show. They decided to part ways.”
Rumours that the couple had called it quits after 21 months were sparked when Romo turned up at Hollywood club My House on Friday with about 14 friends but not the birthday girl.
“He had quite a few girls step by his dance floor table,” said a witness. “Romo was sipping Grey Goose and having a fun time with the boys.”
Dukes of Hazzard star Simpson, who is about to launch a reality television show, The Price of Beauty, put a brave face on the break up on her Twitter page on Saturday.
She wrote: “Barbie didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER!”
Later she added: “Everyone needs to know that hope floats... grab the strings and pull it back to you... Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please, Lord, give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace.”
Also on Saturday Romo is reported to have blushed when he was asked about his relationship with Simpson when he spoke to a group of sports memorabilia collectors at the Los Angeles Sports Museum.
The Simpson source added: “They were good together for a long time. But I guess it wasn't meant to be.”
Simpson and Romo had a connection before they ever met.
She told Glamor magazine last year she watched a segment about him during a televised Cowboys game and he said she was his dream celebrity crush.
“His picture came up and I'm like, 'He's really cute.' Then I heard that I was his crush and I'm like, 'Oh my gosh.'”
They met after a friend introduced him to her father, Joe, and she admitted she was terrified when they went on their first date after flirty e-mails and phone calls.
“I had butterflies that you would not imagine,” she recalled. “I wanted to puke in the cup holder. It took me forever to put together an outfit.”
She said she was taken aback when he tried to kiss her almost at once and went on: “The fact that this guy, on our first date, in the first 10 minutes of dinner, wanted to lean over the table and say, 'This is my girl and I want to kiss her,' – our first kiss in front of everybody – was awesome.”
She credited him with helping her mature and understand herself better, but was not popular with his fans.
Last year Cowboys fans nicknamed her Yoko Romo, in reference to John Lennon's wife Yoko Ono's role in breaking up the Beatles, because they though she brought bad luck to his game.
