KIRSTEN DUNST WINS RESTRAINING ORDER

Spider-Man star Kirsten Dunst has won a restraining order against an obsessed fan who started turning up at her Hollywood Hills home.
Alleged stalker Christopher Smith was “aggressive” and “harassing” according to court papers, and claimed “he has some sort of spiritual connection” with the actress.
Dunst, 26, most recently seen in How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, said in her court declaration: “Mr Smith has repeatedly shown up uninvited at my place of residence in Los Angeles, going so far as to ignore police warnings, bypass my personal security measures, trespass on my property and attempt to gain entry into my home.
“Mr Smith's sudden, aggressive and harassing efforts to contact me are extremely frightening. I fear not only for my own personal safety but also for the safety and well being of my housemate and assistant.
“Given his delusional belief that he has some sort of spiritual connection with me and his apparent willingness to ignore security measures, requests to leave me alone and police warnings I believe Mr Smith will continue to engage in this behaviour and that this behaviour will only escalate, unless and until he is ordered by this court to stop.”
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed: “On November 20, 2008, there was some sort of call and police went to her home.”
Dunst was not at home at the time.
Her private security guard, Billy Durney, also gave a declaration to the court, saying Smith had repeatedly ignored police warnings to stay off her property and he was once arrested and put “in a 72-hour psychiatric hold.”
At the time, according to arrest documents, Smith told the police: “I'm in love with Kirsten, so I went to her house. I connected with Kirsten spiritually.
“I felt like I connected with her and she connected with me. Now I don't know if she did. I guess you have to ask her if she connected.”
Dunst is now said to have stepped up security at her house and at her mother's home in nearby Toluca Lake.
Under the terms of the restraining order Smith must keep at least 20 yards away from Dunst, her family, her personal assistant and her property, and cannot have a gun.
The court will decide whether to make the order permanent on December 22.
Dunst will next be seen with Ryan Gosling in the romantic mystery All Good Things, and will then team up again with Tobey Maguire to play Mary Jane Watson in the fourth Spider-Man film, now in preproduction.
