MATT DILLON FINED FOR SPEEDING

Actor Matt Dillon has been fined $828 for speeding at 106 mph in a 65 mph zone.
Dillon, 45, who was nominated for an Oscar for the 2004 film Crash, had faced up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine after being charged with excessive speeding and negligent operation when he was pulled over on a Vermont motorway last December.
The second charge was dropped in exchange for his guilty plea to speeding.
A police report at the time of his arrest said the You, Me and Dupree and Herbie: Fully Loaded star was cooperative and said: “I screwed up, I know, I know.”
It also identified his passenger as actor Fisher Stevens, 45.
