REDMOND O'NEAL'S REALITY SHOW
The troubled son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett is turning his battle with drugs into a reality television show.
Redmond O'Neal, 24, is currently in jail undergoing an intense rehab programme after pleading guilty to breaching his probation on a drugs conviction by possessing methamphetamines.
He was expected to spend at least a year in the programme but could now be released by Christmas.
“Redmond has signed the deal that was brokered for him by his dad,” a friend told In Touch Weekly. “Ryan will be on the show too.
“Redmond wants to do this to honour his mother. He really wants to get better to honour her memory.”
Fawcett died on June 25, aged 62, after a three-year battle with anal cancer.
Redmond was allowed out of jail to say goodbye to her, and to attend her funeral.
The friend said of the show: “He will be followed by a trainer and a bodyguard who will try to help him get a job and have a real life.”
Redmond has another good reason to stay away from drugs.
His mother left most of her $7.3 million to Redmond – but with two trustees holding the purse strings to make sure he only gets it if he stays clean and sober.
